Vitae
Dr.
Richard W. Golub attended Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New
York City, New York. Upon graduation with his medical degree in
1984, Dr.
Golub completed his internship and residency in surgery at the State
University of New York at Stony Brook. Dr. Golub continued his
post-graduate education at the Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio
where he was fellowship-trained in Colorectal Surgery.
Dr. Golub is board certified in both
the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Colon and
Rectal Surgery. Dr. Golub has continued his medical education with
numerous continuing medical education credits, and has been
re-certified in his field by the American Board of Colon and Rectal
Surgery.
Dr.
Golub has been listed in the New York Magazine issue of The
Best Doctors in New York,
and New York's Top 100 Minimally Invasive
Surgeons. He is also listed in the Castle
Connolly Guide to America's Top Doctors.
Dr. Golub is the Chief of the Colon and
Rectal Surgery Department at SUNY Downstate Medical Center. He is also
the Director of the Anorectal Physiology Laboratory and the Director
of the Surgical Endoscopy Service at SUNY Downstate Medical Center.
Dr. Golub has been appointed as an Associate Professor of Clinical
Surgery; Assistant Professor of Surgery and an Assistant Clinical
Instructor at SUNY Downstate Medical Center.
